Arts & Culture
Using the arts as a catalyst and a place maker to rebuild communities and create business opportunities.
Mission:
To innovate an Arts program that is rooted in the reviving of one community (Opa-locka) with a global vision of advancing the African Diaspora experience and transforming communities.
Vision:
Our vision is to embrace the power of African Diaspora Art to inspire and transform communities.
Ten North Arts Foundation exists at the intersection of art, design, and public space. Through its exhibitions (both live and online), open access to its permanent art collection, educational programs, and apprenticeships and residencies, the Arts Foundation is a hub for African Diasporic creative placemaking. The Foundation’s approach to the arts is to be catalytic by serving as a place maker in rebuilding communities, creating business opportunities within the creative economy, attracting new audiences, and bringing greater awareness of African Diaspora Art to the broader community.
